Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that involves gently scraping the surface of your skin to remove the dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz).
The results one can expect are baby soft skin, no peach fuzz and a brighter glowing complexion. It also helps to give you a smooth canvas for your makeup to be applied on. Because you’re removing all the dead skin, your skincare products will better penetrate your skin and be more effective. All done without the use of any harsh products, chemicals or exfoliators.
Can be done on both men and women. Men just need to have a freshly shaven face.
It does not hurt.
Can be done on any skin type. However, not recommended for those with Rosacea, Cystic or Active breakouts. If you have highly reactive, sensitive skin, (like those with rosacea or keratosis pilaris), you may want to skip, since it might irritate your skin. In addition to anyone that has inflamed acne as it may irritate the breakouts.
There is no downtime with Dermaplaning and you can wear makeup right after if you desire.
